Welcome to our take on the best bags at Polène, regularly updated and in order of preference!
#1: The Duo Camel Tonca
If I was making a Clean American Girl Doll, it would have the Polène Tonca in duo camel over its arm. The most beautiful, sculptural bag in the entire line. Tonca édition duo camel, $580
#2: The Numéro Dix Galop in Ebony
If that Clean American Girl doll had any element of horsiness about her, she would instead have the Numéro Dix Galop. That horse charm! Obsessed, if not quite as much as Strathberry’s highland cow. The Galop comes in five colors, best among them ebony (see here). Numéro Dix Galop, $760
#3: Nodde Hobo in Smooth Cognac
This bag should only be purchased by math majors, ballerinas, wheel tuners, ceramicists and others who have a professional-grade appreciation of beauty and balance. (Also me, and anyone, but maybe especially them.) The interlocking parts!! Nodde Hobo in smooth cognac, $680<

#4: Shuldo in Black
An extremely fun bag for an airport. Where are you going? Where have you been? Throw it all in this. A nice, wide shoulder strap and plenty of room in the interior, though everything does shift around quite a lot. Shuldo in black, $880
#5: Cyme in Camel
The Cyme leans a little corporate for our tastes, but the darker colors more than the light ones. It’s easier to appreciate the beauty of those tucked in bottom corners in camel. Cyme in camel, $620
#6: Numéro Dix in Polar
Ugh, that color!! Numéro Dix in Polar, $580
