The new collection d’hiver from Sézane came out this morning, and these are my very coat-heavy selections. Disappointed in: the dresses and blouses (only one of which, from the two categories, is below) — but the coats! The coats. Divine.
1. Armando coat in rust blue check
I literally stopped in the middle of the street when I saw this giant, Pendleton-y coat in the window of my neighborhood Sézane, but these plaid coats are everywhere rn and shame on me for my own surprise. Armando coat, $340
2. Paolo coat in pink and blue check
I love this one even more, I was going to sale it would be the first one to go on sale but it’s already selling out (maybe because they only made a handful, who knows). I love its big exploded print! Paolo coat, $365
3. Andrew coat in vintage blue (and hazelnut)
Maybe this post will just be me saying “I love this coat SO MUCH” — all I can is that Sézane’s coats have done me so well both from a cost-per-wear and a delight-per-wear perspective. Here’s one that’ll age better than those above. I also like it in hazelnut:
Advertised as loose fit but IDK, I might still size up. Andrew coat, $380
4. Viktor coat in Carlton check
And this one! Like I said, a lot of great coats this time around. IDK, if someone gave me exactly $455 and said I absolutely had to spend it on a coat I would love so much and wear exactly 5-7 times, this would definitely be it. Viktor coat, $455
5. Amance cardigan in navy
The sexy French cardigan from the ’60s, in the flesh (read: mohair). Available in four colors, I like the navy by far the best. Amance cardigan, $145
6. Joyce sweater in aniseed green
As long as those flared sleeves don’t get out of control, I’d love this sweater, in this yellow-green color. I’d size this one down. Joyce sweater, $150
7. Ninon low ballerinas in patent black
I’m personally not a ballerina flat fan, but these thin double-straps are everywhere and I am finding them just extremely chic. Ninon low ballerinas, $235
8. Taori blouse in black black
That is looking like a very tight fit, but I love the way it shows some skin without really showing anything. Taori blouse, $125
9. Claude vintage bag in taupe
My favorite version of all the bags are the vintage editions, including this take on the Claude in suede (actually “split leather has a velvet/suede appearance”). (Here’s our take on literally all the Sézane bags.) Claude, $400
